Welcome! Visiting a new church can be intimidating, and we want you to feel completely comfortable when you visit. Here are some questions that you may have about our church.
What will happen during a Sunday service?
Ushers will greet you at the door and help you find a seat if needed. We typically start at 10:50 for our morning services and 6:00 for the evening worship services. The church service varies each Sunday but we typically start with our worship service where we sing a mixture of contemporary worship songs and hymns. There is a welcome, where announcements are given and we pause to shake hands with those around us. We have a financial offering that is taken up for our regular members (but if you are our guest, please do not feel obligated to give money). The main part of our service is when the Pastor preaches from the Word of God (the Bible) and challenges us to apply the message to our daily lives. The first Sunday of each month, we have a longer service than normal as we celebrate communion where plates of bread and cups of juice are passed around as symbols of the body and blood of our risen savour, Jesus Christ.
What should I wear?
We want you to feel comfortable. We are excited that you have chosen to be with us, where our focus is on the Lord and not on what people are wearing. From blue jeans to ties, we welcome you!
Are there programs for my kids?
We do have a Jr. Church program during each Sunday morning worship service for ages 5-11 where the kids will learn more about the Bible, play games, do crafts and enjoy a snack. We also provide a Nursery service for the younger kids.
